The very first "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" DLC pack is expected to be released sometime this month, bringing in new characters and other extra items to the hottest title in the "Dragon Ball" game franchise.

According to the latest issue of Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, most of the extra items in the expansion pack are based on new characters. The new DLC, dubbed the "GT Prequel Saga," will include new characters such as GT Goku, GT Trunks, and GT Pan. Extra goodies for players include the Devilman and Launch costumes.

Aside from three new playable characters, there will also be 15 additional special moves like Goku's Power Pole, Vegeta's Final Shine Attack, and Yamcha's Spirit Ball technique. These can be learned under two new masters, Tien and Yamcha. There will also be three new accessories, five new costumes, and nine new Z-souls.

Meanwhile, in terms of gameplay, a new stage will be released, the Planet Tuffle stage. There will also be three new parallel quests and four new time patrol quests.

Bandai Namco also reports that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" is their biggest franchise title to date, shipping out 1.5 million units worldwide. As a way of showing their gratitude to fans for their continuous support, the company will be sending gifts to hardcore players of the game, from March to April.

For March 20, the gifts will include a two-star and a five-star Dragon Ball, while a three-star Dragon Ball will be given on March 27. The other three free gifts are the six-star, seven-star, and one-star Dragon Balls to be given on April 3, April 10, and April 17, respectively.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse" is a massive multiplayer role playing game where players can create their own character and level it up by fighting with other online players and NPCs. Players can also choose to complete mission quests and be rewarded with experience points and upgrade items.
