"Dragon Ball Xenoverse" has been available for several months now and many players have developed their skills at playing the game.

However, during its release, it lacked a Tournament mode, which would have made it more fun to find out who the best player in the world is — that is until now.

Bandai Namco recently announced that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will be having a World Tournament mode.

The tournament will now be open to all players in Japan, Europe, and United States on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox, and personal computer (PC).

The current mode is still in its beta version and it started last Aug. 18 and will run until Aug. 23.

The official "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" site states that in the beta version, it will only be a dry run for the game setup and the servers in preparation for the main tournament, which will be on Aug. 25.

This means that there will be no winners for the beta version, but only an open tournament that allows players to polish their skills.

The main event on Aug. 25, the Qualification Rounds, will then have winners who will advance to the finals.

This round will run until Aug. 30 and finalists will then battle it out in the Final Rounds, which will be on the Dec. 5 and 12.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the final rounds will be recorded and uploaded on the game's official YouTube channel for everyone to see.

As for the prize, it won't be in cash, but Bandai Namco will provide a cooler alternative in the form of custom themes and backgrounds for all game platforms.

"Our Champions will get an in-game Hercule badge and the 7 Dragon Balls. And Bandai Namco Entertainment will create unique themes and backgrounds using champions' avatars for Microsoft, Steam and PlayStation systems," the official announcement from Bandai Namco stated.
