'Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F' new details: Blue-haired Saiyans, movie characters in 'XenoVerse'

Golden Frieza in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection FToei Animation

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" will see the return of Goku and the rest of the Saiyans as they fight a resurrected Frieza. According to Geekscape, Frieza's soldiers gather the Dragon Balls and revive their old master who will be ready to exact his vengeance on Goku and his friends.

The site gives a little bit of insight on what fans should expect from the movie. The main soldier responsible for Frieza's return is Sorbet, a general who took over as the leader after Goku defeated Frieza on planet Namek. He is the one responsible for sending other soldiers to Earth to find and collect the seven Dragon Balls.

However, when Frieza is resurrected, he is still too weak to fight Goku. He decides to train for four months until he eventually gains his new golden form. This is the same golden transformation shown in many of the promotional trailers. According to the site, the reason why he can catch up to Goku's power in just four months is because Frieza was naturally born powerful and never trained in his life. Four months of training can easily hone his powers to the next level.

Frieza isn't the only one seeing an upgrade. The previous film, "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods" saw Goku achieving the "Super Saiyan God" form, a unique transformation that granted him additional power and red hair. This time, both he and Vegeta will achieve the "true" god form known as "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan," complete with shiny blue hair.

The film hit Japanese theaters on April 18 while a limited, subtitled release was shown in Los Angeles on April 11, with a dubbed theatrical release set sometime in summer.

For those who can't get enough of "Resurrection 'F'," the DLC Pack 3 for "Dragon Ball  XenoVerse" will add Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta, Golden Frieza, Gohan with his green tracksuit, 13 additional skills, seven Z-Souls, and five Parallel Quests.

Japanese players will get the DLC by the end of April while Western players will see a release sometime in May, according to Attack of the Fanboy.
