"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" dominated the Japan market when it premiered to ¥961 million or $8 million in its opening weekend, beating "Furious 7" which earned $6 million. This makes the "DBZ" film the best selling movie in Japan for 2015, and new reports indicate that the movie will launch in 74 countries this summer. 

The film opened in Japan on April 18. A subtitled version was given a limited, one-day theatrical release in Los Angeles last April 11, hosted by Funimation. Funimation handled the English dub release of the "Dragon Ball" franchise in the United States and will be the same company that will be handling the English dub for "Resurrection 'F'."

According to the Inquistr, voice actors Sean Schemmel, Chris Sabat, and Chris Ayres will be reprising their roles as Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza, respectively. They are the same voice actors from the Funimation dub of the "Dragon Ball Z" TV series. 

The film is also being shown in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The United States is among the 74 countries that will see the film's release in summer. Australia will get the subtitled and English dubbed version of the film simultaneously in August. 

"Resurrection 'F'" is a follow-up of the 2013 film "Battle of Gods" and is set some time after the defeat of Majin Buu in the "Dragon Ball Z" series. The film's synopsis states that Sorbet, an alien soldier loyal to Frieza, sends soldiers to Earth to collect the Dragon Balls and wish for their leader's resurrection. Frieza is revived and now only Goku and his friends can stop him. 

Beerus and Whis, the antagonists in "Battle of Gods," return for "Resurrection of 'F'." The film also reveals a new golden transformation for Frieza and new Super Saiyan God transformations for Goku and Vegeta.
