"Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F", or "Resurrection of F," has just been released in U.S. theaters last Aug. 4 and was well received by DBZ fanatics.

Fans from New York were lucky enough to have seen the movie in New York theaters, premiering at 6:30 p.m. last Tuesday, as reported in Crossmap.

According to Gen Fukunaga, FUNimation's CEO, New York was picked as the location for the premiere of the animated film because it is where a large DBZ fanbase is located.

New York was also one of the top cities during the release of "DBZ: Battle of the Gods" in 2014, the report stated.

Meanwhile, those in Canada can also enjoy the show as "Resurrection of F" will hit Canada theaters on August 6, 8 and 10, according to the report from Broadway World.

Anyone in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Quebec, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Alberta will get to see the most anticipated animated film.

According to Broadway World, the movie release features an "event style" and fans will also get to see a 15-minute pre-show.

The special 15-minute pre-show is produced by FUNimation to give fans a unique DBZ-filled experience that only theaters will be able to offer.

Fans should expect exclusive interviews from cast members talking about Frieza's resurrection and his character in the animated series.

A trivia show will also be given during the 15-minute special to test how knowledgeable fans are when it comes to "Dragon Ball Z."

Winners will be chosen from all across U.S. and Canada throughout the screening days.

According to FUNimation COO Mike DuBoise, the movie has been very well accepted in both North American territories. The advanced sales of tickets should give fans the opportunity not to miss out on the limited screening of the film.
