Developer Dimps has revealed several info on the upcoming game sequel "Dragonball Xenoverse 2."

In its E3 2016 presentation, the studio released new gameplay footage of the role-playing title, which also gives a hint that one of the features of the new game is an expanded roster of characters. In the video, it is confirmed that Turtles (the main antagonist in the "Dragonball Z: The Tree of Might" movie) and Future Gohan will be added to the characters lists.

In a recent interview, Bandai Namco executive Denny Chiu and producer Masayuki Hirano also revealed a number of changes for the upcoming sequel. While a specific release has yet to be confirmed, it is expected that there will be a global release for the title, since "Dragonball Xenoverse 2" will feature English and Japanese voice-overs. In addition, the English-dubbed version is confirmed to come out with a number of subtitles including French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Since it is a sequel set years after the events in the original "Dragonball Xenoverse," players will have a new and larger city as a central hub to the game. It is said that the new city is at least seven times larger than the original, and as many as 300 players can play simultaneously. This also confirms that there is online multiplayer content for the sequel. Since the city is big enough, as well as the other areas, hovercrafts will also be introduced, though it is unclear if it will be a fast-travel feature or if it will be treated like the flying skill for characters.

Although the "Dragonball Xenoverse 2" game is a canon work, building on characters and plot on the franchise, it is unclear if elements from "Dragonball Super," the ongoing anime and manga continuation of the series, will also be included.
