More details are being revealed as the release date of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" comes closer. The latest one confirms that Goku Black is in the series as a pre-order bonus character.

Publisher Bandai Namco has published a new trailer video, this time showcasing the "Dragon Ball Super" character, complete with his Kaioshin costume. It has been previously revealed that Goku Black will be available from day one as a pre-order bonus to hardcore fans. However, Bandai Namco has also said that as a post-launch content, Goku Black will also be made available for players who have not pre-ordered "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."

Having Goku Black in the roster reveals that the upcoming game sequel will also follow through with continuing the story to the recent "Dragon Ball Super" anime adaptation. In the anime, Goku Black is one of the strongest enemies that Goku has fought so far, and it is revealed that the villain is also Goku himself.

In "Dragon Ball Super," Goku Black is introduced in the "Future Trunks" arc as a strong enemy who decimated the future. Viewers find out that in another dimension, a Kaioshin named Zamasu traveled through time and stole Goku's body by transferring his own soul and mind.

Goku Black becomes stronger after every fight, especially against Goku. In the anime adaptation, Goku Black has his own version of the god-like power of Goku and Vegeta — Super Saiyan Blue — and dubbed it as Super Saiyan Rose. To date, Goku and Vegeta have been beaten twice by Goku Black.

The video footage, however, did not showcase how strong Goku Black is, and if Super Saiyan Rose will also be available right away to players.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is the sequel to the online multiplayer game of the franchise. It will be released on Oct. 25 in the U.S. and Oct. 28 in Europe for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
