'Duck Dynasty' star Jep Robertson suffers seizure while deer hunting
"Duck Dynasty" star Jep Robertson suffered a health emergency while hunting deer with friends last week.
Robertson was in the stands at a hunting camp on October 19 when he had a seizure, TMZ reported. As of Saturday, he was still in the hospital.
A representative for Robertson issued a statement regarding the health scare.
"Earlier this week while deer hunting, Jep suffered from a seizure," the rep told US Weekly. "Thankfully, he was in the stand with friends, and Willie was at the hunting camp when it occurred so he was by his side in a matter of minutes.
"Jep was rushed to the hospital and received immediate treatment. He is doing well now, but is still in the hospital for additional tests and observation, and he is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure.
"Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."
Jep is the youngest son of Phil and Kay Robertson, and the brother of Willie, Jase, and Alan. Jep and Jessica also have four children: Priscilla, River, Merritt, and Lily.
The 36-year-old remained in the hospital as of Saturday, but shared messages and a photo to his fans from his hospital bed.

"Well, I about died this past Sunday...I'm doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive," he tweeted.
Appearing to be in good spirits, Robertson referenced a 1990 film in a subsequent tweet: "Just like Steven Seagal, I'm hard to kill," he wrote.
"Duck Dynasty" season seven will premiere November 19 on A&E.
