Sadie Robertson literally follows 'footsteps' of her parents by handing out rain boots to poor Guatemala kids
"Duck Dynasty" teen star Sadie Robertson continues to serve as a role model for young Christian people of the world as she pursues her own philanthropic work literally following the "footsteps" of her parents.
The 18-year-old model and author recently traveled to Guatemala to hand out hundreds of rain boots to needy children of that South American country, according to The Gospel Herald.
Sadie recently teamed up with Roma Boots to help combat poverty by providing much needed footwear to the people in the muddy countryside.
Roma Boots, a faith-based company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is promoting a "buy one give one" campaign where the company gives away a free pair of boots to a needy child for every pair sold.
"The latest 'boot drop' with Sadie [last month] is a grand step in [Roma Boots'] ongoing effort to be sure kids never go without shoes," the company said in a statement to The Christian Post. "Millions of children throughout the world weather all kinds of conditions barefoot, but Samuel Bistrian, [the creator of Roma Boots,] wants to put an end to the dark side of poverty by bringing on smiles and security with Roma Boots," it added.
On her social media pages, Sadie also reflected on her experiences in Guatemala last month while handing out rain boots to needy children.
The "Dancing With the Stars" alum also shared images from her missionary work. "Amazing trip. Amazing people. Amazing God. (Guatemala)," she captioned one of the photos.
In addition to her work with Roma Boots, Sadie also became the poster girl of the Wild Blue Denim brand and likewise collaborated with faith-based technology company, BelieveTek.
Sadie is also the author a New York Times best-selling book, Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values, and will appear in the upcoming faith-based film God's Not Dead 2.
