Derick Dillard's rocky relationship with the public has continued after his wife, Jill Duggar posted a message on social media thanking him for some groceries he bought.

Jill Duggar's husband has had to endure extensive criticism and rebuke on social media since his comments about TLC star Jazz Jennings of "I Am Jazz." He had said that being "transgender" is a "myth," and that it's an oxymoron for a "reality" show to feature a "non-reality."

As a result, he was fired by TLC. The network issued a statement: "We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in 'Counting On' for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future."

Now, it seems everything related to Dillard continues to get criticisms. When Jill posted a thank you note on Instagram (@jillmdillard) and called Dillard the "best hubby in the world," netizens were enraged. In the post, Jill held up a chocolate milk drink and wrote that Dillard "went grocery shopping for us last night and came home and surprised me with my favorite #chocolatemilk #promiselanddairy Thanks babe! Love you tons!!!"

While there is nothing wrong with her post, people have let their anger from the previous issue overflow to this seemingly harmless post. In fact, Jill is being accused of trying to build up her husband's broken image. "Think [the milk company] paid her for this or she's just trying to make us like Derick?" a netizen commented on a Reddit thread.

"Really, ugh," another added. "This is perhaps the most awkward post I've ever seen from Jill. Like yeah Jill, I understand you like the milk...but Derick isn't anywhere close to being #besthubbyintheworld for doing that. Maybe something like a paying job would do though."

However, not everybody thought Jill's post was pathetic. A lot of people even noted what a "thoughtful husband" Dillard is. "It's the [little] things that really matter. So sweet," another commented.
