Duggar family news: Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are finally expecting!
Everything happens in God's perfect timing. "Counting On" star Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo are finally expecting, and the Christian couple couldn't be more excited to become parents.
The couple wrote on their website that they have enjoyed being married to one another, but now their happiness has multiplied because they are expecting their first child. They thanked God for their blessing and asked fans to pray for them as they navigate this pregnancy.
"The past fourteen months have been the best of our lives as we have had the wonderful privilege of beginning our journey through life together in marriage. We both looked forward to the joys of marriage but neither one of us fully understood just how amazing the start of this journey would be. Truly, the Lord's mercies are new every morning!" they wrote. "Now, the journey has taken an exciting turn: we are expecting our first child! We are praising God for this beautiful gift and ask that you join us in praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy."
In their video announcement with TLC, Jinger said she has a feeling their first baby will be a boy, and Jeremy agreed. However, Jeremy said he would love to have a "little princess" in the house too.
When the Duggar family shared this piece of news on Facebook, "Counting On" fans showered them with congratulations. Some people argued about their decision to wait before having babies, since the rest of Jinger's sisters immediately got pregnant after marriage.
"So much judgment from both sides. 'She waited,' 'She waited too long.' Did anyone stop to think that maybe she was having trouble conceiving? Maybe she wasn't? Just because she waited sometime to have a child doesn't make her better or worse than her siblings," a fan wrote.
"I'm impressed that they stayed a married couple for as long as they did. I feel that's important to do before you start having babies," another added.
Jinger and Jeremy tied the knot at the Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs on November 5, 2016. The day of their wedding, Jinger's mom Michelle gushed about their compatibility and said they would make a great team.
"They really balance each other out," Michelle told PEOPLE. "Jeremy is a strong leader, and Jinger is such a gentle people person and a great follower."
