Duggar family news 2016: Promotion of 'Jill and Jessa: Counting On' ramps up

The Duggars are busy once again, this time to promote the second season of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," which premieres later this month.

The members of the large family from Arkansas are currently making the rounds on different media sites and at premiere events for faith-based movies to promote their show.

On their official family blog, the Duggars announced that the spin-off series of "19 Kids and Counting" will return to TLC for a full season. According to the announcement, "the season will show Jessa and Ben Seewald adjusting to parenthood with Spurgeon; Jill, Derick, and Israel Dillard continuing their mission work in Central America; Jana, Jinger, Joy-Anna, John-David, Joseph, and Josiah Duggar navigating adulthood; and Anna Duggar joining the Duggar sisters for a much-needed vacation."

This is also the first time that the blog has mentioned the name of the eldest Duggar son Josh since he got involved in child molestation and cheating scandals in 2015. But despite the rumors claiming that Josh will be featured in the upcoming season, the blog mentioned he will not join his family on the show.

During the premiere season of the series, the birth of Jessa's firstborn son Spurgeon was featured in the final part of the season. "This is painful," Jessa said. Her husband Ben also mentioned in the confessional that she was in deep pain, which made him uncomfortable as well.

But when the series returns later this month, Spurgeon will be four months old. His life is well-documented by his proud parents, who constantly share photos of him on Instagram.

Meanwhile, there are no reports that could confirm if Duggar parents Jim Bob and Michelle will join their kids and grandkids on "Jill and Jessa: Counting On." The premiere episode is slated to air on Tuesday, March 15.
