Duggars by the numbers: '19 Kids and Counting' family work out crazy numbers when they calculate if every Duggar child had 10 kids of their own

If each member of the Duggar household decides to have 19 kids of their own, and the rest generations of Duggars want to maintain the same number, then Jim Bob and Michelle will have 47,045,881 great-great-great-great grandchildren.Facebook: Duggar Family Official

Michelle Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting recently joked that "the multiplication process" has begun for their family now that she and Jim Bob Duggar's kids are having babies of their own, quickly doubling the number of grandchildren they have this year alone.

Jim Bob and Michelle's first three grandchildren are Mackynzie, Michael, and Marcus, the kids of their first-born son Josh and his wife Anna.

These three have been followed by Israel David Dillard, son of their daughter Jill and her husband Derick Dillard, and Israel will soon be followed by Josh and Anna's fourth child - a daughter.

Add to that, Jill's younger sister Jessa who is pregnant with her and Ben Seewald's first child, who is due on November 1. Michelle is even hoping that Jessa is carrying twins, since twins run in the maternal line of their family.

"It is such a joy!" Michelle told The Morning Blend about having lots of grandkids. "I am just so thankful to have all these grandbabies coming along, doubling the number of grandchildren this year. We've gone from three grandchildren to six."

To add to the fun, the Duggar family thought it would be a great idea to count just how many Duggars there would be if each member of the family has 10 kids of their own, and the next generation of Duggars decide to maintain that number.

Based on their calculations, this will give them "190 grandchildren, 1,900 great grandchildren, 19,000 great-great grandchildren, 190,000 great-great-great grandchildren, and 1,900,000 great-great-great-great grandchildren."

"That is more than the current population of Nevada," they noted in their blog.

On the other hand, if every family member decides to follow Jim Bob and Michelle's lead and raise 19 kids per family, they will have "361 grandchildren, 6,859 great grandchildren, 130,321 great-great grandchildren, 2,476,099 great-great-great grandchildren, and 47,045,881 great-great-great-great grandchildren."

"That is almost 10,000,000 more than the current population of California," they said.
