Duke of Edinburgh joins Archbishop for St Luke's Hospital Centenary service
The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip has joined some of the most prominent Christian leaders in Britain for a service at St Paul's Cathedral.
His Royal Highness joined the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams and the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres for a service to mark the Centenary of St Luke's Hospital for the Clergy.
The service was hosted by the Dean and Chapter of St Paul's Cathedral on 18 October.
Based in Fitzroy Square, St Luke's is a hospital providing free treatment for Anglican clergy and their dependent families, and certain others involved in ministry.
Totally modernised in 1994, the hospital is one of London's most up-to-date acute hospitals.
Through its 220 Honorary Consultants, all of whom give their services without charge, the Hospital is able to offer treatment over a wide range of conditions and at a number of associated hospitals throughout the UK.
