'Dying Light' new patch 1.5.1 released with bug fixes

Developer of the "Dying Light" title Techland has announced the new patch 1.5.1 that aims to fix bugs and provide game improvements for both PC and Linux versions.

The previous update, patch 1.5 has been released last month, adding the Hard mode feature to the PC version. Moreover, the previous patch added at least 50 weapons in the arsenal, and four new outfits as additional rewards for those who finished the story campaign.

The previous patch also added specific improvements over the Linux version, adding AMD Radeon support for the game, disabling SSAO and AA options, and primarily fixing different game glitches such as rendering issues and audio driver crashes.

In the new update 1.5.1, Techland went a little further in developing needed improvements for the PC and Linux version. The new update will see PC players notice improvements when playing the game at high settings. Specifically, the game remains stable in terms of graphics, frame rates, and VSync even in high graphics level settings.

For Linux gamers, the patch update brought needed fixes for cross play issues such as username and chat concerns. The new patch 1.5.1 also addressed glitches when players use the Quick Travel option in coop play, and in the Be The Zombie mode, fixes were made primarily in the UV block and Horde skills.

Across platform changes were also made, like correcting spit notifications in the Be The Zombie gameplay mode and fixing the weapon duplication bug and specific achievement glitches. However, the general changes are only applicable to both Windows and Linux versions of the game, and will not affect the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

"Dying Light" is available for the PC, Linux, Playstation 4, and Xbox One, and is now being played by over 3.2 million players so far.
