The release window for the upcoming expansion heading to "Dying Light" has now been announced.

According to IGN, "The Following" expansion is now expected to be released some time within the first three months of 2016.

The news of the expansion's release window came directly from the game's producer Tymon Smektala. Smektala added that announcing the release window but not settling on a specific date still gives them the opportunity to "put in all the content and surprises" that they have lined up for the fans.

Smektala also urged fans to monitor developments closely as they may be releasing more sneak peeks of "The Following" expansion ahead of its official release. The game's producer also added that they will be providing an official release date for the game's upcoming expansion as soon as they have a final decision on what that day should be, the Express UK reported.

As for what fans can expect to find in "The Following" expansion coming to "Dying Light," details about it were released earlier on when they were revealed back in August.

The game's developer, Techland, showed off the contents of the expansion during a 15-minute live stream on Twitch in August, PC Gamer reported.

Among the notable additions in the expansion is an all new environment for players to explore. Players will also be faced with completing another storyline with the arrival of "The Following" and in this case, they will be looking into the inner machinations of a cult.

Players will also be getting new weapons in the form of crossbows and submachine guns to aid in their quest to eliminate as many of their foes as they can. They will also be receiving a customizable dirt buggy that should help make exploring the all new environment more fun.

More details about "The Following" and "Dying Light" should be coming out in the weeks ahead.
