'Dying Light' The Following DLC update: New story, map and a whole lot more

Dying Light

A year into its release, "Dying Light" will be getting some love from developer Techland with the much-awaited DLC called The Following. The DLC will add exciting new content to the game and ultimately revamp the Be the Zombie multiplayer mode of the game.

The DLC introduces a new story that revolves around a Sun God being worshipped by a cult after emerging from the zombie apocalypse. The map that goes along with this is called Countryside, which is actually larger than the game's first map.

Thanks to The Following, the Be the Zombie multiplayer mode of "Dying Light" is also about to get better. The DLC adds a whole host of weaponized buggies that players can use to bring more destruction and disorder to the realm.

The update would also see Night Hunter more balanced due to The Following bringing in new tweaks and a few fixes. This way, players who love engaging in the four-player contest will enjoy a smoother and more cut-throat gaming experience.

The joys of the massive "Dying Light" DLC do not end there. The expansion pack's Enhanced Edition introduces a new three-tiered bounty system, which endows players three types of bounties upon completing various aspects of the game. The first one is called Basic Bounties, which change every time the game is launched. These bounties involve simple assignments and can be completed by players during their spare time.

The second type of bounty to be introduced in "Dying Light" The Following DLC is called Daily Bounties, and it is pretty precise. All players have to do is figure out which building in the map is the tallest, learn its scale through parkour and then jump off it unscathed.

The third type of bounty is called Community Bounties, which last for days and are required to be completed by groups of players who will in turn be rewarded individually after successfully executing the missions. The missions often involve killing a certain number of zombies.

"Dying Light" The Following DLC will be available on Feb. 9.
