While fans are still waiting for the expansion to the zombie survival title "Dying Light," developer Techland has announced a surprise treat for The Following expansion. Apparently, the next DLC for "Dying Light" will be a major and massive one. However, with this great news comes a catch – Techland also announced that the expansion has exceeded expectations that they have to adjust the pricing.

According to PC Gamer, Techland issued a statement about the price change. The developer had said, "As promised back in August, our expansion will still be free for all 'Dying Light' Season Pass holders. However, since the Season Pass will now include this bigger-than-anticipated addition, we needed to adjust the price accordingly."

Originally, the prices for the "Dying Light" new expansion were $15 for a standalone version, or as part of the "Dying Light" Season Pass bundle for $20. However, starting Dec. 8, "The Following" will cost $20 as an expansion version, and the Season Pass for hardcore fans who have not yet availed of it will cost $30. In the U.K., the standalone The Following version and Season Pass prices have also changed, increasing to £15.99 and £23.99, respectively.

The Following is the upcoming expansion content that takes players back into the shoes of Kyle Crane as the main protagonist. Crane must travel and explore the outback Harran's region, and track a dangerous and mysterious cult that might have valuable information about the zombie outbreak. Aside from the cult members, however, Crane must also defend himself against a horde of the infected.

The Following will introduce new areas to the existing map, and Techland said that the enormity of the new location is such that it will be as big as the map in the original "Dying Light." Meanwhile, Crane will also get help in the form of new weapons and items, as well as drivable and customizable vehicles.
