After suffering several injuries due to a bicycle accident, English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran was forced to cancel a few shows of his Asian tour. Sheeran sustained injuries in his wrist, elbow, and rib after the incident in county of Suffolk in England.

After receiving medical treatment from his doctors, Sheeran was advised to take a break from performing. During his appearance on "The Jonathan Ross Show," Sheeran said he had to cancel some of his shows to make way for his recovery. Sheeran said, "They said if I put any more stress on it, I might not be able to play again."

His shows in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Jakarta have been cancelled. Some concerts set in 2018 were rescheduled, including performances in Singapore, Manila, Osaka, and Tokyo. Due to complications with the dates, some of the shows had to be cancelled. In a statement released by Ovation Productions, Sheeran said, "I'm really gutted that not all the postponed dates could be rescheduled and I am working hard with my team to try and come back to these places as soon as I can to see all of you. I'm sorry to everyone who has been affected by this."

Sheeran is set to attend the Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards on May 22, 2018. Together with Prince William, Sheeran will be presenting an award for medical practitioners, including surgeons, nurses, and paramedics who responded and treated people caught in the Manchester Arena Bombing. There are still no confirmations whether the singer will perform at the event since other artist will also be there, including One Direction's Liam Payne.

Sheeran is still in the midst of celebrating his latest album "Divide." His hit single "Perfect" has been in and out of the "U.K. Top 10" list. His single "Thinking out loud" made it to a Diamond status recently.
