Escaped drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman was located last week at the Sierra Madre mountain range after US drug agents were able to track him down through his cellphone. Unfortunately, he was able to slip capture again during a raid conducted by Mexican marines.

According to a report in Mirror, US intelligence have released information to Mexican officials that they have located the world's most wanted drug lord's whereabouts. The information stated that El Chapo is hiding on a ranch in the Sierra Madre mountain range. The agents were able to track him down because of his mobile phone usage. When the Mexican marines went to capture El Chapo, however, all that was left at the place he was believed to have been hiding were clothes and his cellphones.

This discovery is a big development in the search for El Chapo following his escape last July from the maximum security prison of Altiplano in West Mexico City. Unfortunately, he was able to evade capture again.

Meanwhile, new evidence surrounding El Chapo's escape has surfaced when a Mexican television channel aired an unedited CCTV footage taken during the drug lord's escape.

Televisa released the uncut version of the CCTV footage that captured El Chapo's escape which was originally presented without the audio. The version that the Mexican channel now showed, however, includes audio that reveals more about the incident that transpired on July 11, 2015.

In the video, it could be heard that there was a loud pounding sound during the time that El Chapo was watching television. Moments later, El Chapo can be seen walking towards the shower and disappearing from sight afterwards. At 9:18 p.m. a guard came to check on El Chapo only to discover that he is gone, escaping through a hole made in the shower.

ABC has reported that senator Alejandro Encinas, Mexican Congress bicameral security committee member, has charged the government of Mexico of withholding information about El Chapo's escape. He said that the people in-charge of the case have not given all of the evidence regarding the incident for the investigation.

This new audio evidence however still waits to be confirmed, but until now, no official statement has been given by concerned officials regarding this matter.
