|PIC1|From an audience point of view, the Passion is brilliant. I thought Jesus was very well portrayed; gentle and specific without being pious and otherworldly, and with great humanity.

It's an enormous struggle when you think about it. How do you play somebody who is God but also very human?

How do you come to terms with the fact that you are God? I think Joseph Mawle [who plays Jesus] did a very good job; I got drawn into the dilemma in ways that I never have before.

And there was such a sense of Jesus' antagonism towards the Jewish leaders because they were exclusive towards the sinners. I knew that, but I thought it was portrayed very graphically and compassionately. Something about the real heart of Christ came over in a new way to me through that.
