The massive popularity of "Skyrim" and other games from the "Elder Scrolls" franchise has led to constant chatter revolving around when the new title from the series might be announced, but if Bethesda Softworks' Vice President of PR and Marketing Pete Hines' words have any meaning, then those fans may be waiting around for a long time.

Back in June, during the height of Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015, Hines sat down for an interview with the Telegraph UK's Tom Hoggins to talk about Bethesda's plans moving forward. During the interview, Hines emphasized the fact that as of now, Bethesda is focused mainly on "Fallout 4," and that there really is no wiggle room to work on any other titles aside from that.

Hines also indicated that Bethesda is not a company that focuses on trying to constantly release games, and is instead one that is focused on getting a single title right at a time and then moving on to the next one once that previous game has been truly completed.

While Hines' words are promising for the prospects for "Fallout 4," they are hardly reassuring for fans waiting for word regarding "Elder Scrolls 6."

If Bethesda is indeed singularly focused on "Fallout 4," then the next "Elder Scrolls" title might not be announced for at least a few years.

Still, even with "Elder Scrolls 6" apparently a long time away, there are some interesting rumors about it that are starting to emerge.

According to The Inquisitr, the idea that the next game from the franchise could be focused on the Redguard race in the game has apparently been debunked after it was discovered that the trademark was reportedly filed for an earlier "Elder Scrolls" title.

There's also a belief now that "Elder Scrolls 6" could more likely build on "Skyrim" as opposed to being a spiritual successor to earlier titles such as "Morrowind" and "Oblivion."
