"Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2011, and according to a report from Eurogamer, there are rumblings of a remaster for the PS4 and Xbox One now in the works. The report continues to state that Bethesda will most likely announce the "Skyrim" remaster during this year's E3.

The remaster will also be more than just a straight-up port to the newer consoles. According to the report, the remaster will give console players access to mods, all of the official DLCs for the game and will come with updated visuals that will take full advantage of the power of the PS4 and Xbox One. 

It is noted that console gamers normally do not get access to mods as this has normally been solely for PC gamers. However, mod access has been granted for console gamers with "Fallout 4" and it is possible that Bethesda Softworks is going to continue this trend if they intend release a new, enhanced version of "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."

However, the information comes from unofficial sources, particularly industry insider Shinobi602 and NeoGAF user Enter the Dragon Punch. Both are noted for having leaked information that did come true, proving they have a reputation of giving accurate information, but the information should still be taken as speculation until Bethesda gives an official comment.

Gamespot did attempt to get a response from the developers to which a representative merely stated Bethesda does not "comment on rumors and speculation."

According to the information, Bethesda may unveil the remastered version at this year's E3, which will be held from June 14 to June 16. Along with the announcement the company will also unveil "Prey 2" and a new "Wolfenstein" game. As with the case of the "Skyrim" remaster, Bethesda has yet to make an official confirmation of the rumors.
