Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) will take on another murder case in "Elementary" season 4.

After a one-week break, the former Scotland Yard consultant-turned-NYPD detective and his partner will return to look into the case of an archeologist who was murdered.

According to the synopsis for the episode titled "The Games Underfoot," Holmes and Watson think that the reason for the murder could be linked to his latest excavation in a local landfill. The two believe that his newest discovery cost him his life.

But aside from the murder mystery, fans of the contemporary TV adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" novels will also see a brewing problem between Holmes and his former Narcotics Anonymous sponsor Alfredo Llamosa (Ato Essandoh).

As one of Holmes's few trusted friends, Alfredo would not hesitate to call him out whenever he loses track on the road to sobriety. Alfredo normally calls him out whenever he forgets to stay sober, but the two remain close. Holmes even opted to fire him from being his sobriety sponsor in order to help him as a friend. But something could possibly taint their friendship in the upcoming episode.

Meanwhile, fans are looking forward to the extent of the animosity between Watson and new Detective Gina Cortes (Monique Gabriela Curnen).

In the previous episode, Cortes chose to pick on Watson and dig further on her past by asking her friends several questions regarding Holmes's sober companion. The two chose to settle their differences in a boxing match. But while Watson managed to beat the new detective on top of the ring, it would be more interesting to see how Cortes's resentment toward Watson affects her in the next episodes of the season.

"Elementary" season 4 episode 5 airs Thursday, Dec. 10. The episode will soon be followed by the midseason finale titled "The Cost of Doing Business," airing Dec. 17.

More recently, I’ve enjoyed Christian movies Unsung Hero and Jesus Revolution on limited release in the UK, but it’s rare for such films to make the multiplex chains.
