'Emerging Culture' to Express New Talent at Easter People

A diverse range of new talent is set to surprise audiences at the Emerging Culture (EC) youth venue at the Easter People event.

The venue, which is aimed at people in their late teens, students, and twenty-somethings, includes creative worship, Bible expositions, Bible studies with moviemakers, and seminars.

Speaking about the four EC venues, which will attract up to 1,500 young people, the EC director, Andy Frost said, "This year we are really stoked about having hundreds of young, passionate Christians coming together seeking to meet with God."

Meanwhile, Christian artists who have been integral to Easter People over many years such as Adrian Plass, Paul Field, the Methodist Youth Brass Band and Springs Dance Company will be performing on the fringe.

The 20th and final Easter People holiday conference takes place in Blackpool, 10-15 April 2007.

This year's Bible studies, on the theme of 'Amazing Grace', will be given by Charles Price from The Peoples Church, Toronto. Organisers rate Price as one of the most popular speakers over the event's history.

Event organiser Rev Dr Rob Frost said, "Bookings are already over 1,000 up on last year, and many people are coming to Blackpool this year to thank God for what they discovered about God's grace across the years.

"Hundreds, if not thousands of lives have been deeply touched by what God has done at this event, and it's great that the last one will be such a celebration!"
