The wait for Eminem's album continues despite the rap god keeping silent about the purported project, which has been rumored for months now.

Previous reports suggested that he was working on the album in time for a launch this year. However, the "Lose Yourself" rapper is yet to give the official word.

Eminem has not been active in social media nor has he done concerts since his Lollapalooza 2016 performances back in March.

The rapper from Detroit has been working on expanding his merchandise store and has occasionally worked on movie soundtracks, most recently for the Jake Gyllenhaal boxer film "Southpaw."

A few months back, it was rumored that Eminem already has the majority of the songs for his 2016 album in place, but it is also said that he is struggling to find inspiration to finish the rest.

There is no information to corroborate this as well, but the latest interview of hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg suggested that Eminem might be back to making music again.

Speaking to Billboard about his collaboration with rapper and producer Dr. Dre, the "Coolaid" rapper revealed that they plan to assemble the "dream team" for their next collaboration.

"He just wants the team in place. Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre – that's the dream team for him," Snoop Dogg revealed. This is not set in stone yet, though.

As far as the Eminem 2016 album goes, some think that it might not happen at all. However, the Snoop–Dre project could lead to Eminem releasing an album of his own as well.

Last year, Slim Shady was rumored to be working on an album titled "Roots," which was reportedly set to feature Dr. Dre and Xzibit. But with no updates regarding the Eminem album for 2016, it looks like fans should not get their hopes up right now.

Eminem has been venturing into other things while on his music break, so he might not be back to making songs just yet.
