Although Eminem has not released an album in years (and is expected to release one sometime soon), the Detroit-born artist is still hailed as the rap god, and many would agree that he is the "greatest rapper of all time."

Just recently, Elton John sent some love to the "Lose Yourself" hitmaker during his Beats 1 radio show, "Rocket Hour." There, he gushed about his "dear friend."

"Eminem just did a show in which Drake introduced him in Detroit as the greatest rapper of all time," John said. "It's very hard to disagree with that. I love him, and he's a dear friend," he went on to say.

Eminem just celebrated his 44th birthday yesterday, Oct. 17, and fans of the rap superstar did not forget to greet him on his special day via social media, where he has not been active for a while.

"Thanks to all for the birthday wishes," the rapper tweeted out, sending a special shout out to Nicki Minaj and LL Cool J.

Eminem is rumored to release a brand new album and that he is currently working on it. New music for the rap legend will definitely break the internet.

At the moment, there is no confirmation about that piece of information, but reports have it that Eminem is struggling to churn out the final songs in the album, which will reportedly have 12 tracks.

There are no concrete details on the purported Eminem album. Media outlets claim that it will be titled "Roots." Not too long ago, the rapper actually commented on possible album titles for his next album, which he did not confirm.

"I don't know why people have suggested I name my next album Empower or Empart ... This has been said to me so many times over the years," Eminem wrote on the lyrics website Genius.

"If I were to name an album with such a stupid play on my name it obviously should be called Empanada," he joked.
