'Empire' finale spoilers: Lucious' secrets keep up with him in two-hour finale episode

Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), Jamal (Jussie Smollett), Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious (Terrence Howard) record a single for the Lyons Legacy album.Fox

Only three weeks are left in the first season of "Empire," but it does not mean that the sizzling drama in the Lyon family will simmer down anytime soon.

Wetpaint published the official synopsis of the two-hour season finale of the hit hip hop TV drama, combining the episodes "Die But Once" and "Who I Am." The synopsis reads:

"Jamal and Lucious are on their way to forming a music-centered relationship, but once again, Lucious has a secret that's about to change everything. Hakeem decides to flirt with the enemy, while trying to figure out what the best move is for his career. Meanwhile, Cookie is cooking up a plan of her own."

In the final two episodes, the estranged relationship between Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) and his recently-outed son Jamal (Jussie Smollett) is starting to patch up a little. But when one of Lucious' secrets surfaces, the ailing bond between the father and son might be shattered yet again. Could this be about Bunkie's (Antoine McKay) death? Or does the secret have something to do with Jamal's alleged daughter with Olivia (Raven-Symone)?

On the other hand, Lucious' youngest son Hakeem may be doing his own thing by "flirting with the enemy." However, there is no information yet who of the Lyon family enemies he might deal with in the finale.

As for the cunning mother of Lucious' sons, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will still be in her A-game and come up with some plans of her own, probably for the Empire music label and her complicated family. Will Cookie succeed in her plans?

"Empire" season 1 continued to reign over the ratings in its recent episodes. Last week's "Lyon's Roar" received the all-time high for the season, with 5.4 percent ratings.

"Empire's" two-episode finale will air on March 18, starting at an earlier time slot of 8 p.m.
