The "Empire" cast became extra generous during this year's PaleyFest in discussing what fans should look forward to when the series returns for the second half of season 2 as well as the future of the show.

Series co-creator Lee Daniels talked about the feedback that the show received because of the pacing of the first part of season 2.

"We were learning. Sometimes you don't feel like it's enough. That these people — these wonderfully talented actors — are enough and so you bring in this person, ok maybe we'll get more eyes," Daniels told the press, as revealed by The Hollywood Reporter.

But the series co-creator mentioned that they managed to fix the problem in the second half of season 2.

Meanwhile, executive producer Ilene Chaiken shared how Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) will bounce back from his problems during the midseason finale of the current season.

"Lucious ends the first part of this season having lost his company, which is everything to him. Of all the things that have transpired in Lucious Lyon's life, losing his company is possibly the worst thing that has ever happened to him," Chaiken revealed, via Melty.

The executive producer also mentioned that Lucious spent the entire season 2 fixing his problems with his family, particularly his youngest son Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Grey). But it seems like the strain in the father-and-son relationship will be deeper because Hakeem was the reason why Lucious was kicked out of his own company.

Meanwhile, Trai Byers clarified rumors saying that he will no longer reprise his role as eldest Lyon son Andre when the series returns for season 3.

According to Byers, "There's not a stitch of truth to it but it does show the popularity of the show. ... It's not true, but it really opens the ground to show how media really uses their power to perpetrate negativity built on lies versus positivity, which is built on truth."

"Empire" season 2 returns with the episode "Death Will Have His Day" on March 30.
