'Empire' season 2, episode 11 spoilers: The Lyons are divided

The repercussion of Hakeem's (Bryshere Y. Gray) betrayal during the final minutes of "Empire" season 2 episode 10 will be felt when the series returns for the second half of the season in March.

In the midseason finale titled "Et Tu, Brute?" the youngest son of Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) turned against their family when he used his power as the determining vote to have his father removed from his post as the CEO of Empire Entertainment.

Hakeem seemed to have beeen influenced by his former lover Camilla (Naomi Campbell), who is currently the wife of Empire's biggest investor Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei). When Lucious was ousted in the company's board, Mimi gave Empire's leadership to Camilla.

Based on the promo video for the upcoming episode of "Empire" season 2, Hakeem will be confronted by his family for his actions.

Cookie is seen asking her youngest son why he betrayed his family while his older brother Jamal (Jussie Smollett) appears to be in complete disbelief of his brother's actions. He also warns the youngest Lyon that the decision he made will bring out all the worst in him.

On the other hand, the Lyon patriarch vows to get back what was taken from him with the help of an unknown character.

"I'm gonna take back my kingdom," Lucious told the mystery character. "And you're gonna help me!"

However, Hakeem seems to be unfazed by his family's wrath. Camilla asks Hakeem if he wants to lead Empire Entertainment and the budding rapper says that being the leader of Empire is part of his birthright.

Meanwhile, the eldest Lyon son Andre (Trai Byers) will face a different problem when the series returns for the second half of the season.

Andre seems to be in despair in the trailer and it looks like it has something to do with his wife and unborn child.

"Empire" season 2 episode 11 titled "Death Will Have His Day" will air March 30 on FOX.
