England vs Slovenia Euro 2016 qualifier football match preview

England will host Slovenia on Saturday in an important Euro 2016 qualifier from Wembley Stadium in London. England will be looking to maintain their perfect start to their qualifying campaign but will know that Slovenia have some dangerous players and so the win is by no means certain.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. GMT (12 p.m. EDT) and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided below.

In team hews, England's Leighton Baines is out of the squad due to a hamstring injury. That means Kieran Gibbs is the only player available at left back for England at today's game.

England manager Roy Hodgson spoke about Baines' injury, saying it could be "something which has been niggling away because Everton have played a lot of games recently."

He will be a big loss as he has started three of England's four matches since the World Cup Finals in Brazil last summer, and is clearly England's first choice left-back.

England will also be without midfielders Andros Townsend and Michael Carrick as they have ankle and groin injuries respectively.

Today's game is in fact a match up between the top two teams in Group E; England come into this game having secured maximum points from their three games so far - they have nine points and a plus-8 goal differential. Slovenia meanwhile have done well and are second in the group with six points from their three games and a plus-2 goal differential.

In other games in Group E today, third placed Lithuania will play fourth placed Switzerland, and fifth placed Estonia will play basement team San Marino, meaning this is a big day for the group and will have big implications on who will make it to Euro 2016 or not.
