Eric Hill, contestant of the upcoming "Bachelorette" reality show has died following a paragliding accident.

Hill tragically passed away after a paragliding accident in Utah on Sunday. His parachute collapsed and he hit a hill, which left him in a coma.

The 31-year-old's death was confirmed by his sister Karen Tracey, who posted the news of his passing on a Facebook post:

"Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away. Thank you to all of your love and support and prayers and fasting. It was amazing to be with so many of his friends and family yesterday in the hospital who came to express their love for Eric."

Tracey continued, "He gave us such a gift of a life fully lived and fully shared, and allowed us all to be a part of his last adventure here on earth. It is hard to think of life without his bright spark, but we know he is on to new adventures," Tracy added in her post. "We look forward to carrying on his legacy here and greeting him joyfully again someday. I love you so much, little brother!"

Hill, who was pictured last month on a series of dates with "Bachelorette" star Andi Dorfman, had been on an adventure to visit every country in the world in 1,200 day. His journey was documented on his website, Go With Eric, The Global Odyssey. It is not known whether he was filming at the time of the incident.

The new season premiere of The Bachelorette will air May 19 on ABC at 9:30 p.m. ET. According to Us, Hill was already eliminated by Dorfman.
