"Mary Mary" star Erica Campbell does not see the point of people turning to God only when they need Him. For the Gospel singer, one's relationship with God should always be absolute.

On her Twitter account (@ImEricaCampbell), she writes: "Be consistent with God. Don't be a part-time Christian and pray only when things are going bad and you're in need. Love, seek, serve and praise him 24/7."

Campbell often shares her Christian faith on her social media account. Earlier, she tweeted that she will always be okay as long as she remains rooted in God's presence. "No matter how high I get, as long as I remember I'm always at the feet of Jesus, I'll be fine...."

During an interview with The Christian Post, the singer said God helps her find a good balance in her life. Given her tight schedule, it can sometimes get difficult for her to separate work from personal life. But whenever she prays about it, she finds that she is able to find that balance.

"You literally have to make sure that peace is always present. And peace is not the absence of trouble, it's the presence of Jesus Christ," she said. "So I wake up in the morning and I go, 'Jesus, be with me today in every phone call, in every issue, in every problem, in every triumph. Be with me in every moment so I handle it right.'"

Praying also helps Campbell maintain a healthy perspective in life, and it makes her sees ordeals as blessings in disguise. "Sometimes you can be in the middle of a blessing and look at it as a problem. Sometimes when God opens a lot of doors and you have a lot going on, it's easy to go, 'This is too much,'" she explained. "My thought is, I didn't open these doors. God did. So I say, 'God, give me the ability to enjoy it and still be effective at my job.'"
