Molly (Halle Berry) will track down someone who can help eliminate the Humanich threat in the upcoming episode of the CBS science fiction drama series "Extant."

In "Zugzwang," TV Guide reports that the scientist will try to find an old colleague of her dead husband John (Goran Visnjic) with the help of JD (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Ethan (Pierce Gagnon). This person supposedly knows the secret of stopping the Humanichs from destroying both the humans and the hybrids. Will Molly be able to locate him in time?

Meanwhile, Julie (Grace Gummer) will start to have suspicions that Lucy (Kiersey Clemons) is taking orders from someone. She will send Charlie (Tyler Hilton) on a dangerous mission to find this source. What will Charlie find in his investigation? Will he be able to succeed without putting himself in the harm's way?

Last episode, Molly woke up from her comma still in her old body. She did shed her skin and hair, but to her relief, little else was changed. JD and Ethan were there to welcome her back and they immediately started looking for a way out of the facility. Toby (David Morrissey) decided to help Molly by telling her to use the evacuation tunnel as an escape route.

He also ordered Lucy to continue her search away from the Molly's tunnel, but the Humanich was done listening to him. She informed him that she's now taking instructions from the higher ups. Later, Toby told Fiona Stanton (Kate Burton) that Molly and the others were killed in the explosion but she wanted proof.

The truth was that Molly, JD, and Ethan made it out of the facility alive before the blast. They then hid in a bunker that concealed their presence. Julie was also able to escape and got a surprise when she found Molly outside her home later on. As for Toby, he got himself arrested on Fiona's orders.

"Extant" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
