MTV recently aired the season 1 finale of the crime-thriller series "Eye Candy," based on the book by "Goosebumps" author R.L. Stine. Although the network has yet to announce if the series will get a season 2 renewal, late announcements tend to mean that the show is cancelled.

Despite MTV not yet confirming season 2's status, fans of the show have already taken steps to fight for its continuation by launching a petition on Change.org.

"Eye Candy has easily become one of the best drama/thriller TV shows to be released for our generation. It's got thrills, spills and chills that keeps the audience wanting more," the petition states.

The petition currently has over 10,000 signatures with a goal of 15,000. Until MTV officially confirms the show's cancellation, fans still have something to hope for and the petition might boost the show's chances of renewal.

Followers of the series have also taken action on Twitter. They are requesting other fans to change their usernames into "#-insertname-WantsEyeCandy" in an attempt to let the producers and show runners know just how many people are anticipating the next season.

Season 1 followed Lindy Sampson, played by Victoria Justice, and her investigation to hunt a serial killer and discover what truly happened to her abducted sister Sara, played by Jordyn DiNatale. The season finale revealed who the killer was, but it also hinted that Sara was alive and that she planned the abduction, using it as an elaborate play to "keep Lindy safe."

Executive producer Christian Taylor was recently interviewed by TV Line and he had a few hints of what fans could expect should the series be given another shot.

He stated, "I'm not going to tell you anything! No, there's going to be a big conspiracy that we'll explore next season about why her sister did that. And I'll say one thing: It will be linked to their father."
