'Fairy Tail' creator Hiro Mashima news: Urges fans to await next project

Hiro Mashima, the creator of the long-running shounen Japanese anime "Fairy Tail" has shared with his fans that he will be creating a brand-new series. It seems to be the end for "Fairy Tail," which was a very successful and popular project of his. However, fans are also very excited with what Mashima has to offer next. 

After 11 years of being on air, "Fairy Tail" has come to a close, with its 277th episode, and fans have been constantly asking Mashima about his next project. It appears that Mashima, like any prolific creator, took some time to truly part with "Fairy Tail," and took to Twitter to express his gratitude toward his fans. The tweet was posted on New Year's eve, and features a sketch with all of the major characters from the shounen anime stating "2017, Thank you."

In the tweet, Mashima stated that 2017 was a major milestone for "Fairy Tail," since it is already complete and concluded in every aspect. He also stated that he has received numerous messages from his fans, who have either thanked him for the many episodes that he has come up with for the anime, and also asking him any details about his next big project. Fortunately, for the fans, Mashima seems to be very excited to unveil what he has in store.

After his New Year's eve post, Mashima has been releasing numerous sketches of "Fairy Tail" characters, and even posted another tweet to extend his gratitude toward the fans. The picture features Happy, Lucy, and Natsu sitting on a window sill, and behind them is a beautiful illustration of the sunset. The tweet's caption was very simple, stating, "Thank you again for this year." 

The series has received a lot of acclaim and success, with just the manga selling over 60 million copies around the world. It is safe to assume that even if there are no details yet about Mashima's next project, fans will be waiting for it with baited breath.
