"Faking It" season 2 saw Amy (Rita Volk) and Karma (Katie Stevens) go their separate ways after sharing a kiss. However, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly showrunner Carter Covington revealed that season 3 would explore the aftermath of that kiss and the possible new love interests for both lead characters.

When asked if that kiss meant anything to either Karma or Amy, Covington explained that it might be so important to Karma as it was for Amy since the former was drunk and simply appreciated Amy for being there when she needed someone the most.

"I don't think [Karma] is looking beyond that at why she would do that. That's something that we're going to discuss in season 3. The fact that they haven't really gotten much resolution from what that kiss meant," Covington stated in the interview.

Covington also explained that there will be new love interests coming in season 3, although he did not particularly elaborate on whether those new love interests will involve Amy and Karma or the other characters on the show. He did, however, give a short hint implying Amy will be finding someone new to get over her failed relationship with Karma.

In the interview, Covington mentioned that season 3 would start right at the end of summer and that the premiere episode would reveal what everyone has been up to during that time. He then mentioned that Amy had been building walls and standing up with boundaries so that she can recover while still being friends with Karma.

It was also mentioned that Felix (Parker Mack) and Amy's story is not yet done despite the revelation of his problem with alcohol throughout season 1. How this will affect Amy in season 3, particularly after dealing with a drunken Karma in the season 2 finale, has yet to be seen.

"Faking It" season 3 is currently expected to premiere in Fall 2016.
