'Fallout 4' Far Harbor DLC: Datamining uncovers 30 new items for base building

A look at the mysterious island of Far Harbor coming to "Fallout 4" in MayBethesda

The upcoming "Fallout 4" Far Harbor DLC will offer a wide selection of materials players can tinker with in building their base, according to the files obtained from a new round of datamining on the game's latest update.

According to Reddit user TheLaggingNinja, Far Harbor will offer structures such as boxcars in both blue and orange, scaffolding, warehouse, barn, ball track and elevators. From this group alone, there will be about 30 kinds of items to choose from.

"Fallout" 4 players will also love to know that the Far Harbor DLC will have decorations on offer. There will be new armor and weapon racks, power armor and display cases, which will be useful to players who don't want their precious armory lying around.

There will also be posters up for grabs for "Fallout 4" players who want to give life to their headquarters. Other cool stuff to look forward to in Far Harbor include conveyor belts, machinery and more as well as marquee, advanced switches and conduit.

Not too long ago, gamers discovered in the game files the existence of a harpoon gun as well as a new and more ominous Yao Guai and a type of squid believed to be two of the creatures "Fallout 4" players will encounter in Far Harbor.

Until now, Bethesda has been tightlipped about "Fallout 4" Far Harbor DLC, although the expansion pack is billed the biggest among the first batch of post-launch content coming to the game. Bethesda VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines claims it will be larger than Shivering Isles, which is the deemed the biggest DLC to hit "The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion."

The "Fallout 4" Far Harbor DLC follows puts players in the lead of Valentine's Detective Agency's search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Far Harbor is located off the coast of Maine and is plagued with higher levels of radiation that made the island into a "feral world."

Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we've ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

The "Fallout 4" Far Harbor DLC will be out next month.
