A new beta update has now been released for "Fallout 4."

For those who may be wondering why they may not have noticed the arrival of the new update, that's likely because it is available to only a segment of the players for now. 

First off, the latest beta update is available only for the personal computer (PC) version of "Fallout 4," and on top of that, only players who have opted in to receive it will have it ready for their games, according to Gamespot.

Those who want to opt in to receive the beta can go to their Steam game library, head on to properties and select betas to opt in from there. Bethesda has also urged players to create backup save files before opting in for the new beta update. 

Players who have chosen to receive beta updates for "Fallout 4" can still drop out of the program anytime.

Moving on to the actual contents of the update itself, it will actually be introducing two new features to the game. Its first addition comes in the form of allowing players to utilize their number pad keys for remapping and the other one enables players to remap activate on quick container.

The update is also fixing a variety of bugs within "Fallout 4."

One notable bug that the update fixes is the one that players could exploit to nab the Cryolator early in the game through a specific chain of commands issued to Dogmeat, Games Radar reported.

Crashes that would sometimes stem from players jumping into the water or reloading have also been addressed by the latest beta update.

Other quest-specific bugs that could hamper players have also been addressed in the newest beta update coming to "Fallout 4."

As can be expected from updates like this, there will also be the usual round of stability fixes and memory tweaks that will be applied to help make the experience of playing "Fallout 4" even better.
