'Fallout 4': Harpoon gun discovered in the game

Bethesda's "Fallout 4" provides players with a massive wasteland containing all kinds of weapons, and yet, one modder may have just located the most unique one in the game.

The weapon in question is the harpoon gun, and it was discovered by one modder who goes by the username of "xxdeathknight72xx."

At first, the harpoon gun seems relatively normal when compared to the other weapons inside "Fallout 4," but something different happens once players actually use it, according to PC Gamer.

Once players use the harpoon gun, they will see that it produces tiny bubble trails. The presence of bubble trails does not make any sense when the harpoon gun is being used out of water, leading players to believe that the weapon may have been meant to be used for an underwater level in "Fallout 4."

What some players are wondering about now is whether or not the harpoon gun was meant for a level that has been left on the cutting room floor or if it was designed to be a part of an underwater sequence that may be coming to "Fallout 4" in the future, possibly as some kind of downloadable content (DLC).

Players who want to see the harpoon gun for themselves should note that it will be taking the place of the railway rifle in their inventories.

In related news, Bethesda Vice President of PR and Marketing Pete Hines has warned "Fallout 4" players against using the console commands available in the personal computer (PC) version of the game, Gamespot reported.

According to Hines, players who use the console commands risk having their save files getting ruined, which would be quite problematic.

Hines also responded to one fan on Twitter who asked whether or not console commands will ever make it to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of the game. Hines simply responded "nope" and added that even the ones available on PC should not be used anyway.
