'Fallout 4' release date news: Title not included in Bethesda's E3 2015 lineup

Bethesda E3 InvitationBethesda

Bethesda will be participating at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this June and it will mark the first time that the company will make an appearance at the annual trade show. Fans of the company are expecting big reveals which is why the lack of any "Fallout 4" references is somewhat troubling.

Bethesda recently started giving out RSVP invitations to members of the press for their E3 showcase to be held on June 14 at the Dolby Theatre. In the invitation are a number of video game photos that represent the franchises that Bethesda will most likely showcase. None of them represent "Fallout 4."

According to a report from Gamerant, eagle-eyed fans can point out characters from "Doom," "Wolfenstein," "Dishonored" and "The Evil Within" yet there are no images related to the "Fallout" franchise, hinting at the possibility that the game will not be unveiled at the E3 event.

This would contradict all the previous reports and rumors spreading across the Internet like wildfire. Ever since Bethesda announced its plans to attend the E3, fans have speculated that the company would showcase "Fallout 4" and the next "Elder Scrolls" game, particularly since the former has allegedly been in development since 2012.

Some of the rumors state that the new game will be set in Boston and that there may be a character named Preston Garvey who will ask the player to enter a ruined museum in the Commonwealth to retrieve a fusion core.

A more recent report from IGN shows a LinkedIn profile of a Mirada Studios employee who listed "Fallout 4 cinematic trailer" in his CV, hinting that there is a trailer in the works for E3 2015. The profile page was immediately taken down after Mirada Studios filed a complaint.

It is still possible that Bethesda is saving the best for last and that there will be a trailer for "Fallout 4" before the E3 convention is over. A report from TechRadar even points out that if the game is well into its development, then there might be a playable demo.
