With the PS4's "Fallout 4" mods beta drawing near, Bethesda is giving out a new patch update for the game, version 1.5.4. This update is necessary for users who want to try modding for the PlayStation 4.

According to an official blog post from Bethesda, this update is already implemented for the PC, but this update will be launched around next week. This update's primary focus is fixing some elements of the game's mod features as well as the Contraptions. For the former, this update is aimed to produce stability and remedy the various performance issues caused by this feature, especially when loading certain mods.

Furthermore, this update gives various enhancements in other aspects of this feature, like its interface. One simple example is the increased text space for the mods detail pages, which makes it more readable and less cluttered. Another one is the "Most Popular" filter will now give a Daily, Weekly, and All Time options, making it easier for players to search for the highly-rated mods to get for their game. Also, players can now see the exact number of people who rated the mod on its details page.

Additionally, the mod menu will check the allocated space first before initializing mod downloads. They also fixed some issues that downloads certain mods improperly, as well as those that don't appear properly in the Loard Order menu.

As for the Load Order menu, it now gives the player the capabilities to disable or delete all mods, as well as displaying the text pertaining to each mod when highlighted. When reporting a mod, it now provides categories in order to make it easier for users to state their problems.

Finally, they also fixed some issues in terms of weapons and armor losing their mods and Legendary status when they're removed from the weapon and armor racks.
