More than a year after its official release, action role-playing video game "Fallout 4" still has not provided mod support for the PlayStation 4 console, even though its developer, Bethesda, has already done the same for the Windows PC and Xbox One versions of the title. However, gamers who play the video game on the PS4 shouldn't have to wait much longer as new reports are coming in that "Fallout 4" mods will be released for the console very soon.

Per Neurogadget, Bethesda recently confirmed that the Creation Kit will also be handed out to PS4 users for them to use it to support mods for their version of the "Fallout 4" video game. The reason why it has been a painstakingly long wait for PS4 players is because Sony has this habit of delaying the release of mods, although there is no clear reason why the Japanese brand is doing it. Nonetheless, it certainly looks like both Bethesda and Sony finally came to an agreement, all for the benefit of the thousands of gamers who have been waiting for a year now for mod support for PS4 to come out.

Just like the mod support for Xbox One and PC, the one for PS4 is expected to come out via a patch that should be released before the end of the year. With it, there is a projected rise in the number of players who will be motivated to play the game once more. Also, the same patch will probably give fixes to a bunch of issues that the game currently experiences with Sony's console, including that of audio and frequent crashes while the game is in progress.

Finally, those who are interested in the mods must understand that Bethesda isn't putting in preinstalled mods, just support for it. This means that for the PS4, gamers will have to create the mods themselves.
