The Fallout 4 action video game is expected to be released very soon by Bethesda Softworks, after the company's recent announcement and launch of an official trailer last Wednesday, June 3.

As part of the Fallout series, the new role-playing video game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows platforms.

The last game of the series, called "Fallout: New Vegas", was launched in 2010.

Video Game Designer and Director of the new game Todd Howard said, "We know what this game means to everyone. The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever."

"We've never been more excited about a game, and we can't wait to share it." Howard added.

It's unclear when exactly the game is expected to be launched, but VG247 said pre-orders are now available on Amazon and Best Buy.

Other reports say Bethesda Game Studios plans to showcase the Fallout 4 video game before the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo event (E3 2015), which will kick off on June 16 in Los Angeles, California.

Bethesda also intends to unveil more information and details about the game during the press conference event.

Fallout 4 is said to take place two centuries after what the game calls the "Great War", and focuses specifically on the areas of Boston, Massachusetts in the U.S.

The recently released video trailer begins by showing a dog walking inside an abandoned house while glimpses of the past are appearing. Actual places of the present-day Boston can be seen in the video according to reports, such as the USS Constitution, the Massachusetts State House on Beacon Hill and the statue of Paul Revere, which is located in North End Boston.

In addition to Fallout 4, Bethesda is also expected to showcase another video game, called Doom, at the E3 2015 event. This game will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows platforms.
