'Fallout 4' DLC release date rumors: What kind of DLC is Bethesda planning for the game?

"Fallout 4" Bethesda Softworks

It's been two months since the release of "Fallout 4," and yet, the DLC for the game continues to remain unavailable.

As of now, Bethesda has stuck to providing balance improvements to "Fallout 4" in lieu of new content actually being released.

According to VG 247, fans can reportedly expect three types of DLC coming to "Fallout 4."

The first type of DLC will be free updates delivering minor packages of new content. Outside of button remapping being made available to the PC port of the game, nothing new has really been added to "Fallout 4."

The free updates should be arriving for the game soon, though fans will have to wait for any news from Bethesda to find out exactly when.

"Fallout 4's" DLC will also reportedly come in the form of new single player content. Examples of this may include new quests and maybe even additional companions.

As Crossmap reported, some "Fallout 4" players have done some exploring of their own and discovered a variety of interesting locations underneath the Commonwealth. Most players now believe that the underwater discoveries will lead to something else and they may even be hinting at what kind of single player DLC is coming to the game.

Lastly, a creation kit has also been promised for the game, and it will reportedly arrive during the early part of 2016. Even without it though, players have already engineered a wide variety of mods for "Fallout 4."

Unforunately, players can do little more than to wait for Bethesda to finally release the game's DLC, though the company has indicated that it will be worth the wait.

Bethesda has assured fans that they can expect to extract around $40 of value from the game's currently available $30 season pass.

Just as with the game itself, fans have high hopes for "Fallout 4's" DLC, and they will find out soon enough if the new content will be worth it when it is eventually released.
