With Bethesda Softwork's announcement of "Fallout 4" for PS4, Xbox One and PC came "Fallout Shelter," a mobile game that, according to a report from TechTimes, has already earned over $5.1 million within its first 14 days of release, a big feat considering it is a free to play title. Now, an Android port is rumored to be released by this August. 

According to a report from IGN, Bethesda's marketing executive Pete Hines responded to a fan via Twitter regarding the release of an Android version of the game and stated, "Coming along nice. Haven't announced a date, but should be out next month. We'll let you know when we have specifics." 

This means that there is at least a release window that fans can look forward to. Bethesda will announce a specific release date when the company is ready as they have a habit of not making any announcements until they are close to launch to prevent the issues of delayed releases. 

"Fallout Shelter" is described as a management sim where the player is the Vault Overseer. As Overseer, the player must decide who gets to live in the underground vault in order to survive the nuclear wasteland, who to send out for resources like food and weapons, build new rooms, and grow the population.

The game, as reported by Gamespot, was not created for the sole purpose of generating money as Bethesda Softworks' main intention was to craft a mobile game that they, the developers, would enjoy playing. This is why the game is free to play and the microtransactions, while they do exist, are not necessary to unlock anything in the game. 

"Fallout Shelter" was previously announced during the company's Electronic Entertainment Expo briefing and later that same day, they released the game for iOS. As reported here on Christian Today, it has quickly grown into one of the most downloaded games from the Apple Appstore and is expected to make the same big waves when it hits Android devices.
