Bethesda, the game developer, announced on Feb. 29 that update 1.4 for "Fallout Shelter" is ready and will roll out anytime this week.

Players of the smash-hit mobile game will be able to have additional rooms for their underground structure. A barbershop will be available to let the dwellers have some proper trim, even an option to a customized hairstyle. A weapon and armory room will also be included, which will allow players to craft their own items.

Lunchboxes will now have a fifth card, also for the pieces of junk, plus more junk items can be taken home by the player's explorers coming from the wasteland. "Fallout 4" outfits and weapons can also be gained from lunchboxes or from crafting.

Bethesda is always trying to keep the dwellers in sound health, so they also decided to put in more pets, aside from the dogs and cats. There will be parrots flying around the underground bunker. Additional pet bonuses will also be offered.

Update 1.4 will also contain a fix for the time of the day not reflecting properly.

The last update that came out in December added Christmas-themed decorations, an option to evict vault-dwellers, a sell-all function with weapons and outfits, and additional dialogues for the vault-dwellers (a lot of pick-up lines).

On a side note, the game director of "Fallout 4" will be given a Lifetime Acheivement Award at the upcoming Game Developers Choice Award. The said award is for the undying dedication of Todd Howard to the open world gameplay, especially in his work on "The Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout" games.

"We're proud to honor the visionary developer for his leadership in creating these universes," said Meggan Scavio, General Manager of all GDC events. "When you're completely captivated by these detailed worlds, it's easy to forget the level of dedicated work and creativity that went into every square inch. This award reflects on the amazing craft of Todd Howard and his team in making worlds as real as anything on Earth."

"Fallout Shelter" is a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android devices.
