Bethesda's "Fallout Shelter" is finally coming to Android platforms very soon. According to IGN, Pete Hines revealed that "Fallout Shelter" for Android would be available in August.

This is definitely great news for Android owners who used to be frustrated at how App Store's most popular game never made it to Android platforms.

When asked about a possible Android release of the game, Hines, Bethesda vice president, said on Twitter as a response to a fan that the game was "coming along nicely."

While an official date of release has not been announced, the game should be available next month. "We'll let you know when we have specifics," Hines said.

If all goes well, Android owners will finally get their hands on the chart-topping game. Bethesda announced the release of Fallout Shelter during the E3 conference.

Upon its release last June, the game reportedly knocked off "Candy Crush Saga" from its third spot on the App Store, according to Destructoid.

The candy match-three puzzle game has been generating $2.55 million per day this year, so it's assumed that "Fallout Shelter" made more than that.

Playing "Fallout Shelter" is a great way to kill the time as proven by quite a lot of positive feedback from players.

In the game, the player will be in charge of a Vault, building rooms and managing them in a style similar to "Tiny Tower/The Sims".

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic nation and the Vault-Tec manager will be the one to help some of the last people on Earth to get back on their feet.

The game play is all about exploring the nuclear-bomb stricken areas, trying to scavenge for weapons and rebuilding the population.

"Fallout Shelter" is a free-to-play game, although there are also in-app purchases. It can also be played offline, so once the game has been downloaded, there is no need for an Internet connection to enjoy it.

The "Fallout Shelter" for Android announcement should serve as an appetizer before the launch of "Fallout 4" in November.
