"Family Jewels," a game which lets players have their characters kick other characters in the testicles, is now available for everyone.

Developed and published by lone guy Michael McCartney, the game will take place in the fictional city of Walnut Grove where players, apart from kicking other people, can partake in a plethora of other activities. As it was developed by only one person, "Family Jewels" does not have the polish and production value of big AAA games, which have dedicated development and marketing teams.

Still, this is quite a feat for one person, and McCartney himself has expressed enthusiasm in developing the game further, even if it has been released already. He stated, "I'm constantly adding to the game, so if you have any requests, I'd love to hear them."

"Family Jewels" allows players to explore the big area of Walnut Grove, with the goal of collecting jewels. Similar to games like "Grand Theft Auto," players can run amok in the sprawling city and cause mayhem. However, instead of stealing vehicles, players can kick, and get kicked by, random people.

Although it seems to be an open-world game, PC Gamer previously previewed the alpha build of the game and showed that in the initial moments of "Family Jewels," the players are placed in an enclosed office area. The Steam page of the game has not specified how the story unfolds or what players can gain by completing the main quest, but the developer is reportedly hard at work on it.

It is also worth noting that the only way to interact with non-player characters (NPCs) in-game is through destructive means, meaning players will not be able to talk to them or have any peaceful activities with them. With this in mind, "Family Jewels" is best viewed as a stress reliever, where every solution is a kick, which may be off-putting for people looking to spend their gaming time with a little more creativity.

The game is out for the PC via Steam.
