'Fantastic Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald' news: Fantastic Beasts' second movie to premiere on Nov. 16, 2018

The year 2018 will be a big year for the "Harry Potter" franchise with an upcoming augmented reality game and the sequel to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The movie "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" will premiere on Nov. 16, 2018.

The movie was announced on Instagram with a short video clip of the movie's cast. The post is captioned with "The heroes. The villains. The magic. In one year, return to the Wizarding World with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald."

Golden Globe winner Eddie Redmayne will reprise his role as Newt Scamander. Other returning stars include Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski. Johnny Depp will also have more screen time in the second movie as the evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald. "Justice League's" Flash, Ezra Miller will also come back as Credence Barebone.

The movie also welcomes new members like English actor Jude Law as the great wizard Albus Dumbledore and Zoe Kravitz as the troubled Leta Lestrange. The upcoming movie will also introduce Newt's older brother, Theseus Scamander portrayed by Callum Turner.

The plot of the movie is about Grindelwald who escaped the Magical Congress of the United States of America. The dark wizard will then recruit his followers to rule over the muggle or No-Maj world. Newt will then work with Dumbledore to stop Grindelwald's massive scheme.

The movie will be directed by David Yates who also directed the initial film in 2016. "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling will work alongside Lionel Wigram, David Heyman, and Steve Kloves as producers of the movie. Production is already underway in London.

The fantasy movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" received high score ratings from movie critics. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a 74 percent score rating and 3 out of 4 from Roger Ebert.
